Does anyone know how far apart the Seaside Grill and El Patio are? I'm wondering if we'll hear the music from El Patio while we're at the Seaside Grill (that wouldn't be good!)
The seaside grill is on one end of the resort and el patio is on another. When I was there it wasn't a problem at all. Are you worried someone else will be having their reception on the other end of the resort? Not sure if they will allow that.

btw...so glad to see this thread is more active again!!

Babycow - I have read spa info on here somewhere and I don't have enough points to open the links. So, if you go to the first page of this thread, DreamsTulumBride has some things to look at as well as page 14 of this thread, Sunbride has a link for some more helpful info. Hopefully it's in there??

Hi everyone! I've just begun researching getting married at Dreams Tulum and I have a few questions... and probably many more to come!

1. Are most of you doing the civil ceremony or the symbolic ceremony? Is a blood test required for a symbolic ceremony or only for the civil?

2. What is the ride like from the airport to the resort? How long does it take and what type of transportation does the resort provide?

3. Does anyone have photos showing what the bathrooms are like in the rooms? I didn't see any bathroom photos on the Dreams website.

Civil ceremony requires blood work (totally safe and they come right to the hotel $150'ish), the symbolic does not require blood work.

I have read the bus ride is close to 2 hours due to all the stops at other hotels - been told its worth paying for a bus.

There are a million photos of the whole resort at tripadvisor.com.

Again, this is all info I've read, not my own experience. Loads of info on tripadvisor.

Yea, we're using the Seaside Grill for our evening reception (though I'm also thinking I like the courtyard outside the chapel) and El Patio is reserved for another reception at the same time. I'm sure it'll all work out, I'm not going to worried about it.

I didn't see the wedding gazebo on the Dreams Tulum Resort Map...can anyone tell me what its closest to so I can get an idea? TIA!

Hello everyone. I am going out to in May to look at DT and some other hotels in Cancun area. I will try to take pictures for everyone of the Seaside Grill, Ballroom, and around the resort and post for us all. Hooray, I can't wait! Will anyone else be at DT around May 13?

We were planning on having our reception at El Patio and renting speakers but they no longer allow you to have music for your receptions at El Patio!! I guess too many people eating there for dinner were complaining from the music from wedding receptions.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
