I'm so sorry but I don't have an answer for you. What I do know is many (me included) are getting around the legal technicalities of Mexican law by just having a symbolic ceremony. This way we don't have to do blood work, sign legal mumbo jumbo, and aren't forced to get there "x" amount of days before the ceremony.

We plan on going to the courthouse at home a couple of weeks before our trip.

I have a question in regards to getting married by the church?

FH and I are planning on getting married legally in Mexico, but also want to be married by the church, can Sandra arrange thishuh.gif

Has anyone been married by the church at Dreams Tulum as well as legally? or do we have to go to an actual churchhuh.gif

I think Landy will do fine. She said she was going to be there for a couple of days more...
She also said she is going over her weddings with Landy to update her on everyone's details.
I saw Landy do a few weddings when I was there last and she did a wonderful job. I'm not worried.
Alin & Mako... do you have any pictures of your ceremony location? Just curious to see where it is near, what it overlooks, etc! Sounds beautiful!

Flowers

Hi Ladies,

Just wondering for the brides who have already had their weddings at DT.

I received a copy of the Wedding Flower Packages. Were you able to play around with some of the colour combinations? Ex. I want only hot Hot HOT pink roses

*giggle*

Any insight would be greatly appreciated

I havent been married there yet but I asked Sandra earlier and she said yes. Just send her (or now i guess landy) a picture of what you want and they can accommodate. I wasnt too impressed with the flower guide thing she sent. Not that they weren't pretty but the colors werent bright enough for a beach wedding!!

They will definitely work with you on what you want. Just send them a pic of what you have in mind.

One thing I would be careful about is they may dye some flowers....just ask and make sure they don't, cause it will definitely rub off on you and your dress.

I didn't like any of the flowers in the packages and they couldn't do the inspiration photos I brought (no hybiscus because it wilts too fast and they didn't have the other flowers). Landy got on the phone and msn (both) with the florist while I was there and they were chatting with me telling Landy what I would like and the florist sending a bunch of pictures. Landy worked so hard to try to get something I'd like.

I'd suggest just showing up there with several different inspiration photos (unless it's something simple like hot pink roses, you wouldn't necessarily need a picture, they will understand).

You can go to Wedding Website - Alin & Mako Nov 8, 2008 - Ceremony & Reception

This is where I'm getting married. At the bottom of the stairs that lead out from the lobby towards the hote. I'm going to walk down the stairs and my guests will be sitting in front of the fountain. You can't see the ocean from here, but, I loved this spot. If you click on the picture in my web site it makes it a little bigger. We are doing it at sunset so I hope this is the colors I get for the wedding! Thanks for asking :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
