You really did start a nice trend with the Tulle...I am just afraid that with all the crap that I am already bringing for the welcome bags - Tulle will be a bit much --- but it does look quite nice and truly carries out the color of the wedding. Maybe I can volunteer a guest to bring it for mehuh.gif
I have been asked about the starfish several times but not on here, in the thread with my review! Anways, yes I did bring them myself, I bought them at Micheals for a few dollars each. There are many online stores (and ebay) that sell them for cheaper but the shipping to Canada was very expensive (would not be a problem for most of you!). I packed them in shoeboxes. I could only put about 5 per shoebox so it would take a lot of space if you had a lot of guests! But you could always just do the back row, since that's really the only would that would show in pictures from the back!

The tulle doesn't take up much space if you pull out the cardboard it's wrapped around.

I would ask Sandra/Landy if they have bought any tulle, seeing as they are getting this request so often it wouldn't surprise me at all if they have (although if they did it would probably just be white). It doesn't make sense for all the brides to bring their own if almost everyone is requesting the set-up like this.

Ladies, I just asked Sandra about the tule and if she has other colors and she said no. All she has is white. If you want other color tule, or starfish you have to bring it yourself. What she does have is different color bows for the chairs and she can do the flowers but that is about it.

I also asked if she had a magic closet someplace with all the leftover things other brides have brought to decorate with and she said no. She does not know what happens to the stuff that gets left by brides because she is not in charge of the clean-up.

But does she have enough white to do the design like mine? Because when I was there they only had enough of their own to do half teh gazebo (the back half of mine was white). Landy told me they used all that they had for that half of it. But maybe the've bought more since then to be able to do the whole thing.

The idea of bringing the tulle and starfish and leaving them with sandra is a great one! They know about this forum (Landy mentioned it to me once) so whoever leaves the stuff could tell them there is a bunch of people on here that are expecting to be able to use it (just to make sure it doesn't surprisingly "go missing")

I'm surprised that they said they don't have a "secret stash" of stuff left behind. I'm sure people leave stuff!

how did you get sandra to respond back to you right away? did you call? it takes me weeks for a response and she answers half my question with a question and the other half she doesn't address.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
