now i just have to deal with the mosquito issue that month... i went ot the caribbean in early Nov this past year and there were mosquitoes when the sun was setting!
Oh Gosh! Is that another thing I have to worry about?! I was there in late January and really didn't feel the mosquitoes. Wondering if they are in high bloom late November during my wedding? I've read it could be a problem so I was considering putting OFF! in my OOT bags.

I'm putting OFF in my OOT bag for sure as well as a anti-itch for the mosquito bites. I think my guests will really appreciate it. Mosquitos area always around at Sunset. Actually, I got bit throughout the day by one thing or another on this last trip, but sunset is when they gather forces and go out for the kill. If it is windy by the ocean it is not so bad. But, my experience walking to the Spa and getting eaten alive was bad. The spa is between all the trees and greenery so the mosquitos love it there. This is also the same path to the new convention center so if you are walking there around sunset, take precautions. I hate mosquito bites!

email the photographer and he'll send you some samples. He's email address is in the info guide (but I'll look it up and post it here) filepictour@hotmail.com

I emailed him and he sent me like 40 samples, and I was pleasantly surprised, there were a few I didn't like, but a lot of great ones, all in all better than I was expecting for a resort photographer.

but you have other options, you don't have to fly a photographer there with you (I did because it was a better value for me when you add TTD and some photos of the family the rest of the week). Look in the rest of the MR forum and there is lots of discussion about local photographers (my first choice before I decided to bring my own was claudia rodriguez).

If you go to this thread: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t14762 there is a list of all brides, plus for the ones already married there are links to their reviews and photos so that you don't have to do a search to try to find them.

I agree with Sunbride! I saw several samples of the resort photog's work and was pleasantly surprised. Enough so, we are sticking with them since it's part of the ultimate wedding package we are getting. Plus, they are always on site so if you want to hire them the day after your wedding for your TTD (like we are) you can!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
