I actually just found out some horrible news - apparently the resort is sold out for the week of the wedding and I still have ten people that haven't booked and are defintely planning on going!!! One of them is my brother, our best man and one of my bridesmaids!! We are quite worried but hoping that my TA could try and pull some strings sad.gif
I also wanted to let you know that Sandra sent me some pictures from the inside of the new convention center so as soon as I figure out how to send pictures, I will do so.

So sorry you are having troubles! I can relate. Hope they get it straightened out soon!

My dear, you just sent me in to panic mode. I've only got half of my wedding party booked and am afraid that there wont be any rooms left for the rest of my party. I wish you the best of luck with everything and hope your TA can indeed pull some strings

worse case scenarios, they could stay at another resort nearby. The closest big all-inclusive resort is the Bahia Principe, and it's a good 15 minutes away, but there is a bunch of smaller non-inclusive resorts nearby (with better beaches!!!)

Maybe you could convince some people to share rooms in 3s or 4s? Would save them some money. And if there are two beds not that big of a deal, just bathroom sharing to worry.

In terms of adding photos, you have to upload them to photobucket, and then post the link (the 4th link that will appear until the photo)

I think it depends if you are going in high season or not. Amodew is getting married on Dec 30th and I think Christmas to right after New Years is just about the most busy season all these resorts have. So, just check if your wedding is high season or not. I hope it helps put some of your minds at ease a little.

O'h also, I just came back from DT and spend many hours with Sandra asking her a gazillion questions and taking pictures. I also have pictures of the new ballroom. I'm going to try to upload my little thing I wrote right now. Hope it works. :)

Coba is the smallest room and Uxmal is the medium room. They all have the same style and decor, just different sizes. Chichen Itza is the largest room. It has a stage and a grand piano on the second section.

Hope this helps you guys!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
