I never even tried getting a group rate from DT! I automatically just went with my TA.

And just to give you guys an idea....the resort packages our TA gave us began at $430 pp including airport transfers for 3 nights.

I happen to think that's a great deal! The prices I saw on expedia were competitive but did not include transfers from airport and I know those can run high especially since our resort is an hour and a half away from airport.

Hello,

I have several questions if you have time and I'm on a tight budget.

I'm going for the complimentary package so do you know any dinner options that won't be an extra cost? There will be a total of 15 of us. Can we have the dinner in the Seaside Grill at no extra cost?

Is there somewhere to have a dance afterwards? Preferably not the Disco? A first dance, dance with Dad etc?

Do you have to pay the judge the $50 for transportation the website suggests?

Did you use the resort photographer? Were you happy with the results and quality? Best priced?

Thank you for any help you offer! It's very appreciated as I'm nervous about the response time from the resort. I realize I have more than enough time for planning but I'm SOOOO excited!!

I have done A LOT of shopping around for travel pricing- my mom is a travel agent and she wasn't even able to find the prices that matched what I found on the web. So I would say that searching on the web is your best bet. You will have to do some extra work to find the transportation if you will not be renting a car ( we are renting a convertible Jeep for the 10 days we will be there )

I will gladly let you know the site I used if you would like to send me a PM.

that's amazing! the prices we're getting for air, transfer and 3 nights is close to $1000/pp...but we're in January so it might just be a result of it being high season. stupid high season! thanks for the feedback!

We were quoted $390 per night for January if we did a room block. This is for your basic room. Its a bit steep but we hope they have a sale. Neen, what rate were you quoted? I'd be interested to compare! This is the first I heard about not having music at El Patio! That won't work. I've just sent an email to sandra and landy, they really should tell you that before you reserve!!

SNeen and Bleek you guys are sharing a wedding day - that's soooo sweet...

The prices though are crazy---I am getting married in October (the 7th) and the prices are 1/2 - we just have to risk getting hit by a hurracaine - small price to pay (NOT) smile105.gif

But it just worked out to be the best month for us. -

Do check on line anyway though.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
