I think a lot of people do the cocktail hour. When I went to visit I saw this as well. Champagne set up at a table and some light apps at a table as well. It is not passed apps or drinks. It was just a glass of champagne immeidately after the I Dos and while photos were being taken. This couple didn't have the caribbean trip but I think most people do. That might make it more cocktail hour"y- made that word up:)

That's great news - we are going with the gold $55/pp so its super that we don't have to pay for drinks on top of that. I have a lot of info that Landy sent me, but the silver and gold packages didn't spell it out exactly and I wanted to be sure.

I love love LOVE the bonfire on the beach idea...will definitely be looking into this!! If anyone finds out if you can do this on a different night than the reception, let us know!

Oh - and we're doing a cocktail hour....can't think of anything else to do between the end of the ceremony at 4:30 and the start of the reception at 6:30 otherwise... we're having the caribbean trio perform for the ceremony and cocktail hour.

Anyone have pics of the Seaside Grill?

That's exacty why I went with DT!! No hidden charges and no nickel and diming!!! I had booked the Paradisus but the cost was getting out of control!

I don't see why you couldn't have the bonfire on another night. It actually may be fun to plan it on another night. BUT, since my family and friends like to party and the reception has to be over at 11pm, I figured we could keep the party (or should I say drinking) going with a bonfire. I checked DT so called "disco" but it was too cheesy and I don't think my fam would like to be in there.

Oh, and sorry I don't have any pics of the seaside grill. But you will love it. Its right by the water and has the perfect outdoor feel without having to be on the sand.

PS. My new friend on here is visiting Dreams shortly and said she would check out a few things for me, I will ask her to snap some pics of the Seaside Grill and if I get those before I notice some pics posted on here, I will post them up.

if you google Dreams Tulum Seaside Grill in Google Images there are a couple shots of it...not the best, but will give you an idea of the view. I tried to paste the link here, but it doesn't work properly (sorry!).

Does anyone know how far apart the Seaside Grill and El Patio are? I'm wondering if we'll hear the music from El Patio while we're at the Seaside Grill (that wouldn't be good!)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
