check out his website, all the info is there. He charges 400$ an hour, but you have to get minimum two hours for the edited video to be included. Yes he also gives you all the raw footage. I agree he's the best I've seen so far. I originally didn't even want to pay the 400$ for oscar video becuase I thought it was too expensive, but the more I think about it the more I think the video is almost as important as the pictures, it really gives a better impression of how the ceremony went, and I think the movement and actual facial expressions and stuff show the emotion even better than photos (since photos are posed, often even photojournalistic style ones). So I realized if I can spend over 2000$ on photos I should spend enough on the video to get something very good.

Don't mean to change the subject from videographers but I have a question.

For those of you doing OOT bags...are you including mugs/glasses? If I remember correctly, DT serves generous portions of drinks in real glasses as opposed to other all-inclusives. Or am I mistakenhuh.gif If they do in fact serve the cheapy, plastic and small cups then I definitely want to include mugs in my OOT bags. It would be so worth it!

Anyone knowhuh.gif?

I have my heart set on dreams resort, nothing else looks good now! Do I go for the Monday with the great deal or the Saturday in January and have guests pay more? Help!!!!

I think that if you do not have your wedding on a Saturday or Sunday than Monday would be the next best choice. The biggest problem would be accommodating people who have to take time off of work. Having the wedding on Monday would mean that they would have to take two days off (including travel time). But, if your wedding is small, which is what I would personally prefer for myself, than your good to go for a Monday.

Drinks on the beach are in plastic cups... that way no one gets hurt if a glass breaks ! ! ! But in the restaurants, they serve drinks with very nice glasses

Hey ladies,

Quick question to those getting married in January. What kind of rate did you recieve? I'm starting to doubt my travel agent. It's taking her a long time to respond to simple questions and I feel like her rates are always higher than what travelocity quotes me. Now I can't double check them because the rates aren't out yet. I'm getting so frustrated because I just want to book it already!!!!!

One thing to consider about the rates a TA gives you is more than likely it will include transfers to and from hotel. At least that's what my TA's price includes. When I did a rate comparison with expedia, the package price was 20 bucks cheaper than the TA's price BUT did not include transfers which could add up.

Exactly one year ago, I also wanted to reserve the resort for my December weddding. New Brochures usually get out around May-June so that was the 1st reason why I couldn't reserve with Air Canada. Also, I notice that in August, that is when the price went down...really down !

I would wait but go on the Net to look at the prices (Sunquest-Air Canada- Sunwing, etc...) on a regular basis. After September, the prices stayed the same and never went down again.

We were planning on having mini bachelor/bachelorette parties on the resort before the wedding- which of the resort bars would be the best for this? If it is the same night we wouldn't want bars right next to each other...

Also, for travel deals orbitz is currently have really good deals for packages to DT in December (under 1k for 7 nights, from Chicago). Maybe that applies to January too!

My sister just informed me she wants to do a bachelorette there too! I live away from my family and old friends so they don't have a chance to do one at home for me. My sister is a bit concerned about being able to do it at the resort - she wants to do some of the typical silly bachelorette stuff and don't know if there would be a bar that's appropriate, for example I would think the disco, but if he disco is completely dead it wouldn't be much fun, there would have to be at least a small crowd. We don't want to go into playa del carmen because we'd have to take two cabs and it's just too expensive from Dreams Tulum. I don't know if there is a bar off the resort that is closer?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
