DREAMS TULUM brides please post here!

I'm using the resort videographer- comes with the package. And then maybe seeing if he can stay a bit longer. My FI wants to hire someone but a video is a video and you watch it MAYBE 1x every few years so I think a mediocre one will suffice- but it all depends on priorities!!

On a side note- I want to make a signature drink or two (rename it after a thing or place of meaning to me and my FI) but use one of their drinks and just rename it, so i emailed the concierge to get their bar menu. See attached for a list of their specialty drinks and the liquor that they have.

I'm going with the photographer that is included in the ultimate wedding package. I read somewhere on this post that he does decent work. And I would agree with others by saying I would probably watch it once every few years. Good luck! Let us know how it goes since your wedding is 8 months before mine!

We also used the resort photographer. I thought he did a very good job at capturing everything we wanted. He came to my room and videod some while the photog was there and also visited the guys as they were taking shots and preparing for the ceremony.

Since we've been married, all of almost 7 months, we've watched it once, and that was right when we got home from our trip.

o.k., and here are my favs on the drinks.....Ticket to Fly is one they push - it has a ton of alcohol in it and it is yuuumy!! Riviera Maya is the red, green and white one and it's pretty darn good and my all time fav was the Bahama Mama! That was the one I drank alllllllll day at the pool!!

Also, the Absolut Mandarin was a really good option if you were tired of all the fruity frozen drinks. I drank that at night. Well there you go - - that was my 2 cents wink.gif

I'll be showing the video at our 3 post-wedding parties (my home town, his home town, and where we currently live) so I'll be getting good use out of it. I'm happy to hear that everybody has had good experience with the resort videographer, but I'm just hesitant about spending 380$ or more (I've got the free package with no video) until I've seen some examples of his work, and there are none on the website! I've emailed him asking for some but no answer yet.

Yea, from what I heard, he does decent work. Not really sure why his website sucks so much... oh well!

We tossed around which wedding package we were going to get and because we are doing a reception afterwards with dinner and everything, we decided on the Ultimate package.

So I'm already married, happily for 4 years LOL I didn't get my husband a gift on our wedding day. I wanted to, I just never got around to it. Some things that friends of mine did were golf pkg for him or for him and his guys to do sometime before the wedding. Another friend did engraved cuff links. I've also heard of jewlery and "guy" stuff like electronics....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
