YAY!!! We leave for Mexico in 4 days!!!!!! Of course I have to thank Tammy, and every single BDW'er on here for making this time fabulous. If it weren't for your ideas, information, and most of all SUPPORT (and I definitely needed it!!) I wouldn't have such great things to show you all. love.gif

Ok, on to the pics! The engagement- We moved to SF after FI graduated law school. Little did I know, he had purchased the ring before we moved! I didnâ€t get it until 6 months later, because he was doing contract work, and wouldnâ€t propose until he had a settled job and could ‘take care of meâ€. So he got one, we went down to Monterey for the weekend, and he proposed on the beach- it was perfect!!

For our cocktail hour, we are doing a postcard guestbook, as well as cigars for adults, and fun stuff for the kids *also totally an idea from a fellow BDW’er* (pirate hats, swords, glow wands, fairy wings, feather boa-unfortunately, they are all packaged, no pics!). These are the signs that I made for both:

Maraca inspiration- we are getting ours in our colors from the fabulous Mishka w/ the palm trees from our monogram- I don’t get to see them until wedding day- so it will be a fun surprise!:

FMIL and I made these Christmas ornaments for our family members. It is something that she did with both of her daughters, and I was so touched to see that she wanted to do them with me! She adores them, and loves to talk about how exciting it is every Christmas to be decorating the tree and to be reminded of the wedding. She is so cute- I am super blessed to have such fabulous inlaws!:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
