Anyone Use/Using Engravable Photo Frame for Guest Book?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Is anyone using/or has used an engravable photo frame with an engravable mat for their guest book? I just ordered one and love the idea of it. I like that I can display it in our home after the wedding and will also have the guests at our VERY casual AHR sign it. I'm worried about carrying it on the plane though...it it will be too cumbersone, etc. What if anything did or will you use to display the frame at your reception? Also...did you attach the pen to the frame in any way? I'm worried about someone walking off with the only pen that can be used!! Thanks.

Hi,

I did use one for my wedding...it was 20 x25 with a place for an 8x10 photo. It was very large and I was barely able to pack it in a bag. I didn't want to chance having it as a carry-on as it exceeds the limit in size. As far as wanting an 8x10 frame....I have never seen one of these that small...you need to have space to place the photo and room around it in which your guests can sign it.

I had an 11 x 14 engraveable photo frame that fit a 5 x 7 photo. You could fit it into a carry-on bag. However, we did not fly, we were married on a cruise and were within driving distance to the cruise port, so we just carried it onto the cruise in the original shipping box and made a carrying strap for the box out of duct tape... lol.

We just had the frame set out on a table. We were able to keep up with the pen suprisingly, but we didn't attach it to the frame in any way. The frame came with a 5x7 instruction card for the guests that we put into a double photo frame and set up next to the signature frame. On one side of the double frame we had the instruction card, on the other side, we had a 5X7 photo of our two dogs dressed up in wedding clothes with a note on the photo that said "Don't forget to sign the guestbook".

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
