Hi All,

I can't seem to get a timely response from the Majestic (Elegance or Colonial) on their packages for vow renewals or symbolic ceremonies.

 

Does anyone have any package info & pricing?

Oh Thank you Thank you!!! I think I'm now beginning to realize that my idea of a timely response isn't exactly the same as the laid back caribbean. It seems like it takes years to get a response from these hotels. Thanks again!

I get responses from Sandra my WC at the Majestic Elegance 24 hours later which is fine by me at this point. But she does respond to me.

Hi All and CONGRATS and your engagements! I am also planning a wedding at Elegance for July 2011 (nothing confirmed as of yet) and had some questions regarding the package as listed by BrideMichele (bless you!!). If you're paying $1250 for the symbolic ceremony, does that not include the reception dinner at any of the locales? And then do you have to pay extra to have a party (where you can do speeches, cut cake, and dance)? I guess it just seems a little pricey compared to some of the other wedding packages I've researched at other resorts (or maybe I'm imagining things...) Any thoughts?

The wedding package includes the free dinner at one of their restaurants. I am having mine at the Steakhouse. It is semi-private but free. If you have a party at the Wet Bar/Parrot Bar etc, then you pay a fee. You can do speeches and cutting of the cake at the semi-private dinner.

The free dinner can only be held at Asadito (steakhouse) or the Sea & See (seafood).  They tell me there is enough privacy/room to cut the cake, do toasts, ect.  We are doing ours at Asadito (confirmed June 29, 2011) and then just going to a bar after.  I'm not paying their ridiculous prices when it's AI.  I have the set menu's for both restaurants if you want them PM me.  Congrats and Good Luck!

Thanks for this.  Didn't realize you could cut the cake during dinner.  Although I have booked the Wet Bar, the jury is still out on how many ppl will be joining us and I am not sure if I am having a reception.

I am renewing my vows at the Majestic Colonial after 5 yrs of marriage.  I am looking to have something small and simple.  For those of you ladies who have sealed the deal at the MC, can you give me some of your best advice? Thanks in advance.
