i have the same feelings as you. i really would like to pay for their dresses... however, not sure i can swing it

some people i've talked to about it say it's not necessary as our wedding in mexico will cost the same as the other out of town weddings i've been in.

Although I don't think it's necessary or expected, we bought our 1 BM and 2 GM outfits. Let's see, we also bought the Flower Girl's dress, my dad, jeff's dad, & my mom's clothes for the wedding- basically almost everyone in the wedding party! lol

I wish I could ... but I simply can't afford it at this point. What I will do is once we get closer to the date and I see how our funds are looking. If we have enough, I will put some money towards the final payments of our bridal party rooms.

I am only having my sister and I let her pick out her dress on her own and it was $60 at macy's. I did offer to pay for it because it was just hers nd I knew she would find a cheaper one. I don't really have the extra money but I felt like it was a nice gesture to do it. She wouldn't let me though. She is my older sister and is better off financially than me so she said thanks but no thanks! :)

I think it's nice you want to do that for them. If it's not in your budget, maybe you can afford like $50 each and tell them all you will but that towards it and you wish you could do the whole thing but you can't. They will appreciate that. Or try and find a cheaper dress or a more casual dress they can wear again so it's not so much of an expense...??

Hi Erika, I really lucked out and found my girls dresses on sale after Christmas! I wanted to purchase them for the girls as they are already paying so much for their trips.

All I can suggest is check out the sales racks. You never know, especially now that fall is comming they will try and get the summer dresses sold for the new season.

Good luck :)

I have 7 BMs and would have liked to purchase all their dresses, but since we have all been in each other's weddings (or will be), I figure it all evens out. I am spending just as much $, if not more, on their BMs gifts. As for the 7 guys, we did buy all their suits (pants, jackets, and shirts) which will be close to $200 ea, but that will be their "gift". They will definitely be able to wear them again.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
