Rethinking Wedding Dress

Recommended Posts

Since changing things to a DW in the last few months, I have been thinking about looking for a different wedding dress because I was thinking mine just wasn't right for the beach wedding. Well, I had to go into the dress shop today to look over the bridesmaid dresses that had come in last week so I asked what the policy would be on the dress exchange if I decided to go with a different dress. The lady was so nice! She said that because it was a sale dress (got it for a whooping $350, 50% off!!!), they would have to get approval from the owner (who my father actually does work with, so that wasn't a concern to me). But first she said... "let's have you look at the dress again though..."

She brought it out and I fell in love with it all over again. I think I actually love it more than I originally did! So...my suggestion is... if you are rethinking the dress you picked out, go back and see it... you may just need to look at it again! smile159.gif

I picked out my wedding dress this past week and was thinking I may see something else before the date, May 2011. After reading this, I will stay hopeful and revisit the dress periodically. There is no return on mine so I better keep falling in love!!

Thanks for sharing, that's great advice.

I bought my dress back in Feb and loved it when I saw it.

I then did a big no no, and started looking at dresses again (after I had already purchased mine!) and started to re think my selection.

I went back to show my MOH who lives out of town and didn't see it when purchased.

It was as beautiful as when I tried it on and I still loved it!

Great advise Ellabaja1983, thanks for that thread!!!

Cheers,

I'm glad you still like your dress!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

At first, I thought I would get a different dress for a destination wedding... but when trying them on, I realized I would always regret it if I didn't get the dress of my dreams. I absolutely love my dress :)

When I get home I will try to load it and post it. I had posted it on the knot back awhile ago and then deleted it so FI didn't see it. He won't be home tonight though, so I can do it again!

I'm glad I could help... If it's been awhile and you are rethinking, I highly recommend you go check out your dress again!

I feel in love with my dress as soon as I seen it. And I may see other dresses but everytime I look at mine again I fall in love again. My FI wants me to wait just in case I see something else I want!! Now why in the world would I do that for? I'll never fall for another dress especially since i'm making the adjustment I really was looking for in a dress.

That's so fantastic that you feel even more sure in your choice now....because no matter WHERE you have your wedding, you should have the dress you love/makes you feel beautiful!

I wore a Sottero & Midgley full-scale ballgown, and although I will admit I was very hot, it was every bit the bridal gown of my dreams, so I say GO WITH YOUR HEART ALWAYS!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
