I would love to have an aisle runner as well! I wanted this to be one of my DIY projects by hand painting my monogram on it but now, I am concerned about customs and wind. What is a sure way to know that customs won't hold me up for days over my aisle runner?

I saw pics of aisle runenrs soemwhere and they were all smushed into the sand and lumpy looking. I guess it depends on how hard or soft the sand under it is

I can't imagine customs holding anyone up over an aisle runner, I wouldnt worry about it.

If you have an aisle runner, I would make sure you have something pretty to hold it down.  I was at a wedding where it was very windy and the resort poured sand lumps every 2 feet down the runner to stop it from blowing away.  It was not pretty!
