Mayan Palace - Questions to Ask WC

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

As many of you know Martin and I are planning a site visit down to PV later this month (assuming this Mono gets better!). We're trying to come up with a list of questions to ask Marco involving our contract with them. It's hard to know what all we should be negotiating, so if you can think of anything, please throw out your ideas!!!

FYI, we're also planning on visiting other places while we're down there including Las Caletas, Dreams and various restaurants. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. We'll be staying at the Westin for 5 days, 4 nights. I'm really hoping that I'll be feeling better so that we can get the most out of this trip and nail down our location!!!!!!!

Also, our plans for now (pre-trip) are: Lodging at the Westin Regina, Ceremony/Reception at Mayan Palace next door, and Welcome Dinner either at the Royal Club in the Westin or a local restaurant.

Thanks in advance!

~Jaime & Martin :)

Jaime, the favourite restaurant in PV is Pipi's... its a really fun restaurant, great service, cheap food and the epitome on Mexico! We love La Dolce Vita (on the malecon)... great venue, great view and great food. If you want to try a restaurant close to the Westin... you probably want to go to Portobellos or La Terraza. The lighthouse is a must-do in the Marina for drinks and ambience. I don't know if you are into sushi, but there is a restaurant called Tsunamis which the favourite local hang out and does amazing food! If you like live music our favourite is River cafe. at the weekends they ahve an amazing jazz/blues singer there... she is fabulous. And if you guys want to do something romantic with an amazing view (its pricey but worth it), Vista Grill is great. There are a ton of other places, but those are our favourites. A good suggestion for a rehearsal dinner is Barcelona. Its a tapas restaurant with a killer view.... You can tell we like to eat out huh?!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
