* We want to get married in the Bahamas (may/june 2011), but everyone seems to think it's too expensive and I don't think anyone will be able to go. What should I do?! Is there a good all-inclusive hotel that is affordable in the bahamas? I don't know what to do. Help please!!

Congrats and Welcome! If you look at the top of the screen, there's a link to some of the Travel Agents that specialize in DWs. The ladies who have used them have nothing but great things to say about them. Maybe one of them can help you? Good luck!

Hey Cindy welcome to the forum and happy planning! I think if you want to get married in the Bahamas you should. There will be some people who will attend, you cannot let everyone else's opinion sway your own. Check out the resources on the forum, you will get loads of info.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I think it's totally normal for people to think any destination wedding is going to be expensive, however the ones that mean the most to you will make a point to go, and will actually talk about it for years to come, I mean wedding and vacation wrapped up in one. Hang in there and if it's something you really want to do, do it. :-)

One thing we all need to remember is that this our day. It's our dream day...the one we have been picturing since we were little girls. You should do what ever you want... this is one of the few moment in our lives where we can be selfish!

Thank you all soo much for your replies! I love this site! I hope I find a great travel agent! The one I had was horrible! She was always busy and never replied to me on time.

And you guys are all right! I should get married in the Bahamas! It IS my day! We'll see what happens!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
