Thanks for the detailed review! It is going to help so many Dreams PV brides :) Didn't you think those marshmallows at the bonfire were ginormously awesome ? I had sooo much fun on the canopy tour too! That is a def must in PV. You already know this, but I think your pics are simply stunning. Although Fer is an amazing artist, it helps when the couple is super cute and happy like you and P!

Karen, your day looked so perfect! Rebeca is our wedding planner and Lucie is our officiant. I hope I did not over look the answer to my quesitons I have for you but ..

1.what were you planning on having for table centre pieces before you moved to having floral arrangements provided by Dreams for an additional $100. Can I assume you had 4 tables?

2. Were the petals for the runner at the ceremony included in the $100 or was it extra??and how much?

3. Did you have a welcome party/dinner? or was the bonfire it? We are trying to think of having a welcome dinner or mingle but knowing that we can't make rezo and we have 5 young children we can't necessarily have a mingle at the Rendez vous lounge. We were thinking of the bonfire idea as our welcome party. What do you think?

Thank you for taking the time to share your special day with us all.

Thanks everyone! :)

Aww, A, you're too sweet - thanks! YES! I loooved those marshmallows! My brother took a pic of me mid-bite and I look like I'm in hog heaven. Of course, I was. I also gathered up a bunch of the skewered marshmallows that had gotten knocked over & walked around with them like a bouquet. OK, I know I'm a dork but it was pretty funny.

And ziplining is an absolute must! It's crazy fun! I wanna go again!

Thanks Cindy! Yeah, surprisingly it held up til the next day! I pinned it up to take a shower before our TTD, but I took it down after showering & it was still very wavy. I stuck a different hair flower in it & was good to go.

Someone (maybe on another thread about wedding hair) had asked if my hair's curly - it's naturally got some wave to it, but def not curly and I dried it straight (well mostly) before the hair appt. Bianca sprayed the crap out of it before & after curling each section and it totally held.

Hi, I answered in color next to each question:

We had 5 tables. I think 2 arrangements are included in the Ultimate package so I guess that means we paid for 3, so it must've been closer to $150. We brought votive holders, 4 per table (2 in aqua & 2 in lime), and we were going to ask Rebeca to put vases in the center of each table and then use the bridesmaids' & my bouquet as the centerpieces. But when we met with her & looked at the set-up (pictures in a book), FI was like "what the hell, let's just do it" meaning have Dreams provide them. They were really pretty & we're glad we opted to have them, but for many people they may not be worth the extra $. I tried to take one back with me to the room after the reception, but it fell apart. oops.

They were extra - I think $30 for the bag. There were enough to spread all along the aisle runner and on the cake & place card tables (there were 2 separate tables).

We just did the bonfire and I felt like that was perfect. It was after dinner so people could go eat whenever they wanted to (many ate together at the Fiesta Night tho). And the kids (ages 2, 4, & 6) really loved it.

We did meet up for welcome cocktails the 2 nights before the bonfire in the rendezvous lounge & the kids were there both times, just not all night, and it worked out. They brought their coloring books & were set up at a table, or on laps, and were totally fine. You can get tables in a corner of the lounge so you're set apart from the rest of the bar.

Thank you for taking the time to share your special day with us all. Of course!!

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any more questions!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
