Wanted: non-beach recept. kid friendly all-inclusive, any ideas???

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I am planning my sister's wedding and we are having trouble finding the right resort. We do not want the ceremony or reception directly in the sand. Hoping for maybe a gazebo wedding, and then garden or terrace recept that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, but not cheapo either. We were going with the Gran Port due to the kids, proximity to town, and all inclusive, but you have to have your recept in a ballroom or the sand. BUT their wedding packages are such a good value- you get SOOOO much included that a lot of other venues charge extra for- namely the reception, dance floor, flowers, etc. Ovious choice would be the Royal, but my sister really wants to keep the fam together, so since I have a little one- we can't do adults only. Any help would be so appreciated :)

Also- of those that are doing the reception in the sand- what about guests wearing high-heels? Or does your venue offer some sort of "floor"? Just wondering how other people are doing it- THANK YOU!

Hello! I was married at beaches turks and caicos! Have you looked into any of those resorts? Family friendly.multiple ceremony and reception options. We were married in a gorgeous gazebo. Just an option. Also try doing a search at the top of the page on the tool bar. There are lots of threads about family friendly resorts! Good luck. Let me know if u have any questions!

HEY! HOPE YOU SOLVE IT OUT, HOW MANY ARE YOU FOR THE RECEPTION?

do you care for a venue over the ocean?

we are not wearing high heels, but sandals, beach sandals.

we were offered a dancefloor under the tables but i really think our guests are going to love being barefooted. the guys are wearing sandals also!

I'm getting married at the Grand Palladium and they have a beautiful garden gazebo and also a catholic chapel if youre interested in that. I have attached a link to a photo album that has some great photos of the garden gazebo and the private reception area.

The private reception costs anywhere from 50 to 60 dollars per person, depending on the menu you select... so yes, it is an extra cost but well worth it in my opinion! There are some great reviews on this site.

Also, we will be travelling with many children and we selected this resort because it's very family friendly... I think there is a daycare open until 11pm (and the daycare actually has excellent reviews), there are tons of activities, babysitting services, kids pool and play areas, etc...

Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
