Boudoir Photos - When to give??

Recommended Posts

I did things a little backwards! .. I had a BD shoot done this past April for his anniversary gift. Little did I know, he was going to propose a month later! He's already seen the pics and we have them on a cd. I however am still contemplating having them printed into a book to surprise him with on the wedding day. I'm undecided right now

i actually gave him a book for his bday last year and i will say from experience that it was nice that i did it in private. i wouldn't want any of his boys to see it and FI wouldn't want anyone to see it either. plus it was nice to be there to see his reaction. just my two cents.

If I do bd pics, I think I want to give him the day of so the photographer can capture his reaction. Definitely wouldn't want anyone else to see it but I would probably have my MOH give it to him. I don't mind her seeing cause she is my cousin. I would make sure the other guys (his cousin, my brother, my cousin) wouldn't see either. I would make sure she stress the point of for his eyes only =).

I like autjo's idea of having a romantic evening before leaving. I'm considering doing one of these, but will probably just get the one photo rather than an album (they're relatively unheard of in the UK, so are still really expensive!). I really didn't want to give it to him the morning of the wedding as he'll be constantly surrounded by people. I also generally love the idea of having a nice evening before leaving as things are going to be quite busy once we arrive!

This has been super helpful!  I'm still undecided if I'm going to do one, but I'm strongly considering it.  I am body concious and don't want the entire world to see the book so I might use the idea of giving it to him the night before we leave.  That way no one else will see it!!

I am planning on doing one and giving it to him before we leave; I am more concerned about one less thing to pack! Plus, I think he will appreciate getting them more when he can have a chance to look through them and not worry about rushing off to rejoin the group (and I won't have to worry about someone else picking it up or something).

I like the idea of making a romantic night out of it right before we head out! That will really put us in wedding vacation mode!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
