Hello,

I vacationed at CRT last year for about a week in July. It was my first time to Riviera Maya area. (had been to Cancun only once before that; about 10 years before during Spring Break - totally different vibe).

I LOVED the Cat. I would have my wedding there if I wasn't have a few under 18 attendees (since it is adults only). I'm looking into one of their other RM locations (but it looks like my date may not be available so I'm kind of bummed!)

Very laid back atmosphere & wasn't very busy (but we did go during summer so not sure if that is why). We actually ran into Kareem Abdul Jabar there - which made for a fun story.

I'm sure a wedding there would be very lovely. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.

Food/drink was good (your basic for an all inclusive, not necessarily 5 star, but not horrible either). Rooms were also basic, but nice/clean. Beds a little hard. The grounds were very well taken care of & beautiful.

If you are used to Ritz Carlton, this may not be the place for you. But if you typically stay at the basic hotel chains like Hilton/Ramada, then you will like this place.

I would recommend it to anyone looking for a basic all-inclusive, adults only in an affordable price range.

Hi A&C!  I'm a CRT bride too!  Not many of us on here...When are you getting married?  Our's is 10-13-10.  Have you been in touch with Jacqueline?  She is very responsive-I usually get a response from her within a couple of hours.  I found a couple of other brides that were married at the CRT on Facebook and they seem to have had great weddings there!

Happy Planning :)

    • The cooking method can double the calorie content of a meal, so learn about healthy cooking without having to add extra fats, like using a steamer,  a rotisserie , a slow cooker , a pressure cooker, a grill. Once you cook your own meals, you can control the calorie content because your control the cooking method and all the ingredients. A lot of people are overweight because they keep eating food that they did not cook.
    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
