ROR Free Wedding Package - HELP!

Recommended Posts

Hello Brides!

I'm a little confused about the Free ROR Package. I emailed Chandlyn and asked if there was a maximum # of people we could have for the Free Package. She said, as long as we have 10+ rooms booked we're fine. But, I read on their information booklet that the Free package only accomodates up to 20 people for dinner. Do we pay for the additional 20+ guests? Or are we forced into picking a different Package that accomodates our # of guests?

You will only receive Wedding Cake and Champagne to for 20 people. A Semi private dinner for the wedding group. This will include everyone in your group. I am going to get the free wedding package as well but I’m going to purchase additional champagne bottles and maybe upgrade my cake.

The Free Package 2010 at the Riu Ocho Rios includes:

* M.I.C.E Manager to help plan the special day

* Decoration set up for the ceremony location

* Bridal Bouquet and matching boutonniere for the groom

* CD or recorded music during the ceremony

* Semi private dinner for the wedding group at one of our specialty restaurants

* Wedding cake for 20 people

* Sparkling wine for 20 people (during the main toast only)

* Surprise spa gift

* Ten percent discount on all spa services for bride and groom

That's what I thought (but I think my TA was getting thrown off by the 'for 20 people' part) so, even if we have a group of 40+ the semi private dinner is also included, and the only thing we would need to upgrade are the bottles of champagne and cake!

Thanks so much for clarifying!

I think once you get to 50 people though you can no longer have the semi-private dinner that's included. 50+ people means you need to pay for the dinner which I think is $55.00 per person. This is most likely because a group of 50 or more won't fit into the area they have reserved for the semi-private dinners plus they need more staff to take care of the larger group.

But if you keep it under the 50 you should be fine with the free package.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
