Hi Wendy,

I am a newbie member to Best Destination Weddings.com and recently engaged 2 weeks ago!!!  I have read so many amazing things about you that I was hoping I could reach out to you to help us put together our destination wedding package in April 2013. From the sounds of it you are THE GURU & we would love to work with you if you would have us!

We are looking to return to the Riu Palace Riviera Maya.  We vacationed there in April of 2010 with 4 other couples & absolutely loved it!  We anticipate a large group & really would like to get our information out there in good enough time so our family & friends can SAVE THE DATE and SAVE SOME MONEY and join us!  <3

I just sent a note to the wedding planner at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya last night to look into availability.  We know we want to go for a week in April 2013, we just need to confirm WHICH WEEK, my future stepson's Easter/School break in 2013 will fall on.  Although Easter 2013 is Sunday March 31st, the school indicates they are unsure that the break will be that week of April 1st - 5th.  I should know by March at the latest.

I hope to hear from you.

Many thanks!

I agree, Wendy is great! I have been asking billions of questions and she has been consistent in being prompt.  I know when I e-mail her I won't be waiting days for a response. Pretty soon I will start getting the contract portion and it's good to know I'm in good hands!

Hi Wendy,

I got your info from a friend and wanted to ask you for your contact info.  I have few questions:

1.  Is there a fee for your services?

2. What services do you provide?

3. Have you helped with weddings in Cancun?

We are getting married in October of this year and I am having a hard time deciding between few of the hotels.  My e-mail is [email protected].

Thanks,

Sanela

Hi Sanela,

Thank you so much for asking! My role as a TA is to book you and your guests either individually or as a group booking, to work with your guests to answer any/all questions, coordinate the transfers from and back to the airport and assist with air if needed. Cancun/ Riviera Maya is my area of expertise and where I assist with almost all of the weddings I work on.

There is no fee to you for my service as Travel Agents are paid commission from the Tour Operators, hotels and cruise lines we book for our clients.

I would be very happy to answer your questions .. you can reach me at [email protected] if you like.

Best regards,

TA Wendy

I AGREE 100%!!!

We used Wendy, and she was AWESOME! Before we signed a contract with her, we had talked to the Resort TA, as well as FIVE other travel agents, and Wendy not only offered the lowest price and best package, but she was also the most friendly and on-the-ball! Every one of our guests that used her had nothing but fantastic things to say about their experience with her. Not only did she do a great job with all of the reservations, but she actually goes to the Cancun/Riviera Maya area frequently, so she had lots of helpful tips about things to do down there!

We did have a few guests that chose to NOT to book through Wendy, and book their trip on their own, and they all had issues. One of them didn't get the kind of room they thought they were getting, one of them ended up in a building all the way across the resort from the rest of the guests (and I had to have them moved closer to us on the 2nd day of the trip, after they had already unpacked!), and the two other groups that didn't use Wendy never bothered to set up their own shuttle service (since Wendy just automatically did that for everyone who booked through her)... so they ended up taking taxis from the airport which cost almost twice as much as a shuttle.

Everyone who DID book through Wendy, however, had NO problems! Everything was taken care of, they all felt they had been given enough information to be really prepared, and they didn't have anything go wrong with any reservations.

Yay, Wendy!

My wedding isn't until next week, but I have to put my two cents in on the wonderful Wendy Hicks.  The reviews on here are all true...she is EXTREMELY helpful.

My wedding will have 50 people total and booked almost all of the guests (a couple chose to stay at a different resort).  We had guests cancelling, last minute guests booking the week before the wedding, and my fiance and I decided we didn't want to room together until the wedding night so our room count changed every night making everything very confusing.  Wendy handled it all without ever an issue and was very prompt in getting back to us every single day, even weekends!!! I sent her an email one Sunday afternoon and she called right after to answer my Mom and I's questions.

She made the booking process seamless and stress-free for myself and my family.  In addition, she KNOWS Mexico and KNOWS Le Blanc Spa Resort.  It was comforting knowing she has booked several of these at the resort, visited, and knows how to work with the staff there.  Also the contract with her is the same as it is if you were to book with Palace Resorts, which I'm VERY glad I didn't do.

I cannot say enough good things about her.  In addition, she was in California and we were on the East Coast and it was never an issue.  Don't think twice about using her!

PM me if you have any questions.

-Molly

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
