Affordable Photographer for Cancun Wedding!!!

Recommended Posts

Without knowing an exact budget it is hard to say.  Have you checked with Lori (www.sweetfirephotography)? Just beware of vendors who are way below the norm, you want a professional who is punctual (and sober), delivers what they promise and has experience. All the best :)

I would bring one from the states as a guest. or hire one and have him or her as your guest, just pay your guest fee. It is silly what the resorts do... expensive photos, that are not good, and only give you a small package of photos. NOT GOOD AT ALL for a bride on a Budget.

I am also getting married at The Royal/Gran Caribe and our package includes a photographer.. With only 24 pictures.. Which I think is so ridiculous=/ I have been researching photographers like crazy.. Someone on the forum suggested Photos in Cancun.. After looking at their website I must say I am so impressed with their work.. and their prices!! We can have two photographers ALL DAY and have all the pictures on a CD for $1,500.. I have yet to find a better deal...

As far as the resort fee.. I will probably book a room at the Gran for the night so I can do a TTD session in the morning-- if I get the fiance to agreee... :)

Hey there.  I know your wedding was about a year ago!  Congrats on your first wedding anniversary!  I am in the same position as you were once in.  We are getting married this Nov at the Gran Caribe Real.  And I am too looking for photographers right now.  I wanted to ask you what you thought of your photographer the you ended up hiring?  $1,500 is pretty good to have that person shoot all day.

Hi ladies!  Has anyone use Ismael Pacheco?  I contacted him and his packages were very inexpensive!  I'm talking $730/6hrs, $1220/8hrs, and $2530/full day (12-14 hours).

Those prices are the absolute cheapest I've found.  His website looks good and professional.  But I am having a hard time finding reviews for this guy, other than the "ravs" on his site, which of course will be positive.

I'm thinking, hmmmmm.....why are his prices so much cheaper than others?  Is this "a steal that I can't miss out on"?  Or a "you get what you pay for" deal???  If anyone has hired/use Ismael P., could you please provide feedback on his communication and work?  Were you happy with your photos?  Or if you've heard anything about him, could you please share.

Thanks!!!

Hello Ladies,

I wanted to share this gem of a photographer, Octavio Montes. I needed a photographer who already has a decent portfolio, good reviews, but does not ask for an arm and a leg in payment. Another bride had told me about him, and I have found him an excellent person to communicate with! His has a great gallery on his website featuring his works in different weddings, which makes it easy to see what you're buying into.

He has hourly packages you can pick from, choose whether or not you want prints, and he gives you a DVD with ALL the pictures taken during the event. His packages are very flexible. He also offers video services for a reasonable price!

I emailed him the first time and asked for prices. He straight up just gave them to me on the same day. He makes you feel like you're a priority and not just another client.

I also just booked him and got 10% off!

To check out his work:

Happy planning! :)

Michelle

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
