Hi Ladies (and man brides ;-) )

I'm new to this forum and was interested to see women from all areas of the world discussing their experience in planning a destination wedding. My experience so far has been pretty good but also confusing and a tad stressful. When you are planning a trip on behalf of 40+ people, quick decisions are tough and it's hard to remember it's about you when you are taking so many other people, genders, age ranges etc. into consideration.

My hopeful plan is to host my wedding at the Azul beach hotel in the Mayan Riviera but due to some upcoming renovations scheduled I actually have to trim down my guestlist which is not an easy thing to do as I was conservative when I started making it!

So, I hope as things progress I'll be able to discuss and share my stories (good and bad) with the rest of you ladies, who I know will relate and probably share some stories of your own that will make mine not seem so bad! LOL

We're all here to relate to eachother's joy, misery, stress and happiness during the biggest and best time of our lives.

Cheers to us ladies, we're all in this together!

Hello fellow Ottawa bride. Yes, planning for 40+ people is stressful and I'm in the same situation. I keep telling myself those who can make it great and if not that is OK too and everything will be fine.

Looking forward to hearing and sharing planning stories.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
