Can anyone recommend a good destination wedding travel agent? If you can, did you personally use the agent? I am looking for an agent with knowledge about the Bahamas and Mexico (those are two locales we are considering). Thanks!

I would definitely recommend hitting the link on the top of this site. They not only had destination weddings themselves, but have helped a lot of us. I know I've used Tammy a few times and she is great!

All of the agents on this site have been hand selected by owner Tammy because we specialize in Destination Weddings. We have visited the sites, know the on site wedding coordinators and will stay with you right through the wedding to make sure you and your guests have the very best experience and get the best price possible for your Destination Wedding.

Click the link at the top, or anyone wishing to reach me personally can send me an email at [email protected]. Happy planning!

I've been in contact with Karin O'Keefe from Fun 'N Sun Travel and Cruise and so far she seems great! She spends TONS of time answering all my questions and sending me great information. She emails me back RIGHT away, even on weekends (I emailed a lot of travel agents and never heard back, or heard back after half a week). I'm planning to book through her for a site viewing trip in April, and I'll post a review after I get back.

Good luck!

Silvr109, I am glad that you have found someone who is working well with you and that you are pleased with your TA, however you may not know that the forum and website are owned by a travel agency. The agents on the forum would be delighted to help with any and all travel questions for the brides, we are all Destination Wedding Specialists who have worked for years in this field, and we ask that you not endorse or advertise agents off the forum.

Thanks much!

We are booked for Jamaica!  But please DO NOT USE Flight Centre!!!  It has been an absolute nightmare to say the least!!!  We were pushed into booking in June, now prices have gone down and they won't match!!  They had said they would, but now they are refusing.

I agree with martini! Flight centre sucks!! I've been working with one guy for weeks upon weeks and now he refers me to the groups department. In the meantime, I've lost time and prices have increased!! I found a new TA and so far so good, fingers crossed!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
