Cancun Dreams - June 02, 2010 Review

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am getting married at Dreams next Saturday and I have a couple questions about the photographer.  I am pretty sure that Juan Navarro is the one that comes with the package.  Can you please tell me how long he was there and what package you got?  I don't know if I should schedule some extra time so he can be there as all the girls are getting ready and stay throughout the reception.  Any insight would be great!!

I'm so sorry Heatherlrex for not responding in time for your wedding! I've kinda been AWOL on this site with so much going on sad.gif I hope everything turned out wonderful = ) Can't wait to hear about your review!

Speaking of Photographers.  I finally have the time to update/show all of you brides and future brides with the pictures that were taken during my wedding day!! I apologize for being so long overdue! I flew the photographers in from Edmonton. Infused Studios was our photographer.  My husband and I feel very fortunate and blessed to have those 2 fun birds to capture our wedding day.  They did a outstanding job capturing the perfect moments, it was more than we could ever ask for.  They honestly put 200% into our photos and researched to the 'T' where to take pictures.  Below are the links to our wedding day pictures and our creatives the day after our wedding. The pictures speak for themselves how amazing these photographers are.

WOW - your pictures are beautiful...... would you mind me asking how many people you had in the wedding?  I have 14 guests attending including children and I see you had a dance floor I was wondering it you had a large party or a smaller group as I want a dancefloor but worry it will look like not many of us on it.

Also in regards to your pink glass center pieces, and the giveaways you had - what were these?  They look fantastic.... would love to know my color is also pink :)

Thank you for putting these up, truly inspirational, congratulations

Aww, Thanks ToriOary cheesy.gif  Ask away! I had 12 ppl attend my wedding.  At first I thought it was a waste of money to buy the dance floor because of the amount of ppl that came but I'm really glad I did buy it because it added more decor to the wedding. And I wanted a first dance with my husband so it was well worth it = ) As for the size, its actually not TOO BIG... I thought it was a good size for everyone to move around = )

The pink champagne glasses were bought at a craft store and I added these pink pearl things that are actually used for plants to make the champagne look like a pink drink with bubbles hehe.... The favors were a silver box filled with chocolate and a homemade ice cream cone made from towel = ) I saw it a magazine and I thought was the great idea and it totally matched the theme since its on a beach! It was definitely hard to make but good thing I only had to make 12 ! haha... = )

Thank you for your kind words.  I hope I helped and feel free to ask any other questions if you have any.

Good luck with the planning! You'll have a blast!

Now, just waiting to hear back from the coordinator to see if they have any other Saturdays available...if there are no Saturday's available..then I might just do it on Friday. Does anyone have any recommendations on whether I should do it early June, mid june or later June.

Hi Mich,

End of May and Beginning of June was pretty hot but I know end of June gets even hotter! I do believe it is hurricane season as well; but seriously Cancun weather is seriously unpredictable.  The weather forecast told me that it was going to thunder storm all week while I was there and there was only one day that rained. I would go for beginning of June.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
