Question for Cabo Hilton Brides

I'm about to sign my contract with Emeline. Anything I should add or take out of the contract?

I made her add in "All tables, banquet chairs, white linens, white chair covers for banquet chairs are included for the wedding." Do I need to make sure she puts in china, silverware, chairs on the beach for the wedding, etc? Also, what are your thoughts on the "Performance damages?" Is that normal or can I ask her to take it out?

I have also asked my WC to look over the contract for me as well. I'm still waiting to hear back from her. I know I sound paranoid but I just feel Emeline is a bit sneaky and I want to make sure I cover everything so there are no surprises later.

Thanks for your help.

I was ok with my contract , I did confirm with her in a seperate email about the chairs, tables etc.... I just keep every mail that I send her. I have created a book just for the Hilton with all the emails that I send and what she send to me. As a wedding planner and owner of catering company, I do understand the preformance damges. Not sure if that is something she can take out or re-word, but never hurt to ask.

I just signed the basic contract, b/c I didn't think to add or subtract anything.

The HIlton provided tables, chairs, votives, table and chair linens as well as other necessary lighting outside. There was also no extra charge for any china.

This was my table.

I thought of that but then we won't get the better rate on the rooms. I'm pretty sure nothing is going to happen to cause us to have to worry about the Perfomance Damages. I just wanted to find out if this was normal.

I too have kept every email between me and Emeline. And thank goodness I did. We had an issue earlier this week about the room level she promised us but because I had her guarantee in writing in the email, we're all set.

Wow!!! Your tables were beautiful!!!

Did you have to pay extra for the orange chair ties and colored napkins?

Also, where did you get your flowers? Those are really nice. I LOVE low to the table flowers. So elegant and beautiful.

Thank you.

I didn't pay extra for the ties. Emeline told me what colors the HIlton had and I chose what I wanted.

I ordered the flowers in loose bundles from Flower Cart. I also rented the low vases from them. They were delivered about 30 minutes before the ceremony. 4 of us just chopped all the stems off (most of the stem anyway) and arranged them in the vases. It turned out exactly like I pictured: simple.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
