That was our thought too.  Are you re-inviting the people you invited to your DW?  I was stuck on that one....

We are doing the same, except at a hall because no one has a big enough backyard. We are inviting everyone including those who come to the destination wedding.

I am re-inviting the people that I invited to the DW because I know a lot of them won't be attending the DW and the ones who will be attending are very close and it would be nice to have them at the AHR too!

thanks for the ideas ladies, I so wasn't gonna have a AHR, but a BBQ sound like a more relaxed way to do it without all the fuss. Definitely will run this idea with my FI . Thanks again

We are planning to do a save the date type card with "we're married now... join us as we celebrate our recent nuptials..."... it will probably include the RSVP info, etc because our AHR will be 3 months after our wedding. Really can't see doing formal invitations as we are trying to keep costs down.

What we were thinking about doing was getting a big signing book at the front door with a pic of us in jamaica, so everyone still get to give there best wishes for us. We too are doing a bonfire and were renting a tropical bar that will go into the corner of the yard..on the bar were going to have small amounts of sand mixed with our wedding colours (the sand will be from jamaica) and like you just playing music from my FI stereo (hes a stereo freak lol)

I think for an AHR..ppl are going to spend time with you....and celebrate with you two.... but i know for us, I dont want to cook lol so my mom is getting the food for us SCORE!!!! are you doing a cake?

As for linens and such, I bought a ton of stuff off of another BDW brides, and most of it will be used at home, just so we can incorporate our feeling of tropics at home.... look at the buy/trade/freebie section of this website..youll find a ton of great deals and or ideas. Any thing you can offer for us would be great too

Two hands will join together on their special day and look at each other and say I DO on April 14 2012 in Montego Bay Jamaica
