Just joined the site, engaged for just over a month, trying to pick my resort in Mexico, between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Soooooo many choices! Shooting for a date of May 20, 2011, give or take. Looking forward to reading some info from other brides and hopefully getting some good pointers!

Congrats & welcome to the forum. I'm getting married at Moon Palace golf & spa resort in cancun on 10/8/11. Other resorts to consider are Dreams, Azul Sensatori and Valentin Imperial Maya. There are many more. It all depends on your budget and what you're looking for. Good Luck and Happy Planning :)

I'm having a really hard time navigating these forums. every time I click on something it takes forever to load and then it kicks me back, I can't find anything I'm searching for...

Right now I like the Beach Palace in Cancun and RIU Palace RM in PDC. Have a couple others to do more research on. I really need a good travel agent to put this all together because my parents are giving my guest travel vouchers to pay for some of their costs. I was thinking destinationweddings.com, but I've heard mixed reviews. I'm trying to search on here for them, someone said there were many reviews, but I can't find any (?)

thanks for the welcome!

Hi and welcome to the forum Shelby! If I may sugggest ... try one of the BDW travel agents (click on the banner at the top of the page). These are experienced TAs with mega destination wedding experience. Any one of them would be happy to help out.

Good luck with the planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
