Nassau wedding planner questions

Who is your Nassau wedding planner and what kind of communication do you have? Does your planner send you or call you with confirmations when things are booked (ie from florist, bakery, etc?). How far out are things reserved/booked?

Thanks for you help!

Hello-
I did all the planning myself so I can't speak to your questions. What I can say, and what you will find, is that WP are VERY relaxed! They do not get back to you as quickly as you like and if I had to guess I would say they will not tell you when things are booked.

I can say, it will get done though... you just wont know anything about it :) It's what these people do.

Thank you for your input! It's hard to know what your'e getting for sure when you put all of your faith in a complete stranger. I did finally get some answers, and the plans and vendors are great. But we are only 5 weeks out, so I was getting anxious.

I'm getting married at the Wyndham Nassau Resort and I'm getting married next month. When I was further out the Wedding Consultant wasn't too attentive, but as we have gotten closer to the date, she's been better at responding in a timely manner. She even emails me when she's not at work such as at night or on her off-days.

Yup - That's what they do.... They have so many wedding that if your far out on the schedule you're pretty much second fiddle.

I had the same fears but it will all get done.. don't sweat it. Easier said than done but try :)

Creoletexan: I stayed next door at the Sheraton, and got married at the Sheraton. I don't know if you've been there yet but you'll love the location. I did anyway. Good luck to the both of you. Your ganna have a blast and realize all the stress was for nothing.

Sooooo very true. I wasn't sure about my Atlantis wedding coordinatora at first. I even thought about hiring another one locally because I was not sure just how much assistance they would actually give to me. What I have found out is that they are on TOP of their game. My wedding planner is amazing...and this is the second one I have had....they were both great. I think that in their business you have to put out the immediate fires first. Our day will come and they will be there for us!! Best of luck to you!!

I was reading my paperwork from the RIU, where we are getting married and they say that a WC might not call you until the month before. But! my cousin got married at a RIU (in mexico mind you) and she said that it worked the same way and that you just have to relax and go with the flow of a DW and once that WC calls or emails you they are pretty quick and attentive to what ever ?'s you have.

so dont worry to much.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
