My fiance and I just LOVE taking cruises. Our last cruise was on the Carnival Glory less than a month ago and that will always be a vacation to remember. We got engaged in Belize and continued celebrating for the remainder of the trip!! I never wanted a "traditional" wedding so we both agreed that it would only be natural for us to do a cruise/destination wedding.

 

Only in the early stages and haven't made any final decisions yet so we are open to ideas. We live in NY and for convenience purposes, we were able to narrow it down to a cruise leaving from NY at the end of April 2011. St Thomas would be the only island on our itinerary which would allow for a ceremony. My question is do we do everything directly through Carnival Wedding staff which seems to be pricey for the little that they offer, look for a wedding coordinator in St Thomas or deal with a travel agent in my area?

Congratulations! I actually initially planned on a cruise from NY as well. But we changed to a DW. I worked with Karen who was awesome and she is a coordinator specifically for Carnival cruises. I definitely think you should speak with her. She's very sweet and usually got back to me very quickly. Destination Weddings, Cruise Ship Wedding, A Wedding For You, Inc. since 1987

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
