Hello Ladies,

Do most people bring in a photographer or do you find someone local? Does anyone have suggestions for me? I am getting married at Dreams Huatulco in march 2011. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Check with your resort? Mine has decided to start charging $300 for bringing a Domincan Photographer that isn't the one the resort provides. I am bringing my own photographer from Canada so he can take pics all week but since he's a guest at the resort there is no $300 extra charge. Or your resort may charge $50+ for a day pass for an offsite photographer.

From what I've seen and heard the resort photographers are not as good as off site photographers. They kind of do bare minimum. My wedding is in NOV 2010 and I decided to hire a photographer who has done a lot of DW. His name is Preston Davis and he gave me such an awesome deal bc it was a DW. I am recommending him to all my freinds getting married.. His creativity is breathless.... Here is his website DIVINE ORDER PHOTOGRAPHY. Oakland - San Francisco - Destination Wedding Photography If you have any questions PM me... I hope this helps

From what I've seen and heard, most of the resort photographers arent the best and you don't get alot of pictures, nor are they anything too exciting. My FI and I have found an AMAZING photographer who is giving us the deal of a LIFETIME and I can't wait!! He will be coming for a 5 day trip (as he has two weddings to do back at home just 4 days after my wedding) but will de doing an engagement shoot there, doing the whole wedding, and a ttd the day after the wedding!!

I am a St Thomas bride, so i'm not much help w/ local photographers for you. However, I just wanted to say that we opted for hiring our own (one of the preferred vendors recommended by our resort), because we were nervous to use the resorts. We wanted to make sure we had photos that turned out great & that a lot of shots were taken. Good luck!

Hello to everyone,

First of all I hope everyone is having a great day and is in good health. A lot of people take small things for granted especially with the stress of setting up for your big day. Take a step back, take a deep breath, and know that it will all come together and be a spectacular day.

Now that everyone is clear of mind, my name is Matt and I have a small write up about my wedding photography business that I would like you all to read.

I always have enough time for any of my referrals

Thanks,

Hello Everyone, my name is Amy. Me and my husband Mike got married in Huatulco last Month. We had a beautiful ceremony, all of our close friends and family were there.    Before we arrived to Huatulco, We were really worried about the pictures of the wedding... but then a Friend of mine recomended me this  young Professional "Photographer" named Miguel Angel Luna. He took our pictures and when we saw them... we were shocked with the results :) We got so much more than what we asked for.   For the begining of our adventure together as a new family, the work of Miguel and his Team, took the best of us and transformed all the love and happiness of those moments into art.   We highly recommend all of the beautiful couples looking for a reliable contact Miguel. You're gonna love his job :))

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
