Hello,

I am planning my wedding for monday Jan.31st 2011 at the Grand Princess. I have been there this past november and decided I'd like to have my wedding there. I am just wondering if anyone has some helpful info for me regarding this resort! Thanks

Mandy

Steph, you're my date twin! I'm looking at the same place (as one of about 8 places right now lol) but I was starting to get concerned based on some of the reviews on TripAdvisor. I know the reviews there are generally bad for EVERYTHING though so I'm trying not to pay too much attention. Can I ask what made you decide on this resort?

Oh do you have the date reserved? What time?

We have the 5pm! Thats so crazy that we could be thier at the same time!

We were looking at the Grand Porto, Sandos Playacar, Occidental Grand Xcaret and then we found the Princess. Over all I think it is what we are looking for.

I have been ignoring the bad reviews for that over all it has REALLY great ratings on trip advisory and on this site.

Price is a big issue for us. The three other hotels we were looking at just kept getting more expensive. sad.gif

We are not doing any kind of reception or dinner so that didn't matter, and now it looks as if we will have too many people for the gazebo (over 50) so the beach is our only other option. Every beach really looks the same. (ceromony wise)

We really liked the property style and heard lots of positive things from the brides on this site.

I wish we could have gone on a site visit but wanted to put the money towards the wedding trip. Oh well I guess I really needed this site more than I thought! wink.gif

Good Luck!

We haven't reserved anything yet, still trying to decide which resort we are going with. Price is a huge issue for us too, I'm shocked at how much some of these resorts cost! I always though February was a bit cheaper... I think all those last minute sales I saw earlier this year threw me off.

Your ceremony on the beach will be beautiful. I really think these resorts should throw in the site visit for free if we book a lot of people wink.gif. It would help so much with the planning.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
