VGirl’s Wedding Review ~ Moon Palace Resort, Cancun Mexico~ April 24, 2010

Recommended Posts

Also, any help about the salon would be good. Me and my fiance aren't really into 'spa' days. We don't like massages or anything like that. Can I use the $300 credit towards just getting my hair and make-up done for the ceremony? Will there be money left over if I decide I want to try something new at the spa? I'll be getting my nails done before I go so I won't have to worry about that either. Also, how are they on make-up? I would do it myself but I honestly don't like the way I do my make-up most of the time since I hardly ever wear it. lol. And the resort credit, do me and my fiance share the whole thing? Or is it a credit for each of us? One more question, I want to swim with the dolphins, can we use the credit for some pictures of that?  Thanks a bunch!

Hey Vgirl!

My husband and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary doing a complimentary vow renewal package at Moon Palace July 13th, 2011.

Thank you soo much for the fantastic review! I did have a question about what photography/video if any was part of the complimetary package..

Make it a great day!

It looks like no one answered your question...so I will.  All the chairs in her pics, the white folding chairs, are in fact the chairs provided by the resort at no extra charge.  The pink ribbons she has tied to the back of the chairs are available at an extra cost (or you can bring your own).

I read your wonderful review and truly appreciate the time you put in to help others figure out what can be and is a confusing time. I have been trying to figure out how to budget for a destination wedding because we just can't afford a wedding at home. I was wondering about your reception, was there a price for the reception or was that included in the wedding package? We both have large families and estimate a wedding size of yours or bigger and we both have a great reception as a priority.

I have been researching destination weddings for what feels like forever and honestly, your review was the most helpful than any website at this point.

Thanks again!

Bre

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
