VGirl’s Wedding Review ~ Moon Palace Resort, Cancun Mexico~ April 24, 2010

Hey Veronica,

Thanks so much for sharing that very detailed review. I had no idea you had done so much DIY work. You couldn't even tell from the photos because everything looked so professionally done. You have every right to feel good about your day because it really looked perfect. I don't think I have the patience to do stuff myself, however I know it would probably cut alot of the extra costs for me. Your review filled me with so many wonderful ideas and I thank you for that.

Can you let me know if your husband got to try his suit on prior to buying it? From your review it sounds like you made an online purchase which worked out perfectly for him.

I look forward to seeing your photos.

Thanks Terlina! That is SO SWEET! Yes, I did a TON of DIY stuff to keep the cost down but it was SOOO worth it!

We actually ordered his suit from the site we found on here for $99 linen suits. It's a custom suit so we just took his measurements like they tell you to on their website and they made it for him. He didn't get to try it on until it was finished and mailed to us. Thankfully it fit him perfectly and we just had to take it to be hemmed and cuffed (we added a couple inches to the length to allow for a cuff).

We should be getting our photos by next week or so and I can't wait!!! I told them to take their time though because right after we left Cancun we found out our photographer had to have an emergency surgery so I know she needed some time to rest and recover.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
