Photographers in Dominican Republic??

Recommended Posts

Mel,

We are also using Caribbean Emotions for our wedding at the Jellyfish on November 14th!  I can't wait - and maybe you'll get to see some pictures of mine before you leave!  I think his work is amazing, and his pricing is really reasonable!

Hi ladies! We're bringing our own photographer, but if something falls through, we're looking to book Roger Ramirez. He'll travel just about anywhere in the Dominican Republic and I just wanted to get his name out there... I think his work is outstanding!

We are also using Julia Eskin! LOVE her work. I would love to see some recent pictures if people care to post after their wedding!  Katya Nova is also amazing. It is nice that they live there and are offering more of a variety for photography

I have emailed some of the photographers you guys mentioned and checked out their websites!  Thanks!

Does anyone have any feedback on using the house photographer?  We are getting married March 31st at Secrets Royal Beach and we get pictures as part of our package.  We are really trying to stay within budget so I am trying to decide what to do!

I totally agree with FutureMrsDawson!  Choosing the right photographer for your special day really is important.  They are responsible for capturing the essence and feeling of your day so choosing someone who inspires you and who's pictures give you those fluttery little butterflies (the good kind) is so important.  Check out the WIKI Choosing Your Wedding Photographer for some insider's info and tips and hopefully it can make your decision process a little simpler.

Happy Planning!

Hi there..I am getting married at Paradisus Palma Real next year and a little bit worried about choosing the right photographer. I have checked different reviews and got in contact with some photographers. I am thinking about an onsite photographer Arrecife Studio. I do like their work, they respond fast and answer all my questions being so patient with me (I do have so many doubts):-) Also they told me that there is a fee for an outside photographer. Anyone had this issue before?

I was just at PPR for an onsite visit prior to my wedding this November.  They told me that  weddings booked in 2012 going forward, an outside photographer is going to be charged $1000....Thankfully we booked in 2011 so our photographer doesn't get charged that fee (which would certainly be passed along to the client)  Arecife does great work but we opted to go with someone else because his pricing plans are somewhat costly in comparison to other photographers who do the same caliber of work.

Hello ladies, I got married last month at the Now Larimar resort in Punta Cana. We used HDC photography for our wedding day and we couldn't be any happier with how beautiful our pictures turned out! We had sent them an email for info beforehand and Arnaud was great in responding quickly! the photographer we had that day (Carlos) was awesome! He was very nice and creative! We received our pictures in 2 days! Arnaud had come to our resort to show them to us on his laptop And had a cd ready for us in a DVD case, which they used one of our pics as the cover. I highly recommend them for your wedding day! They gave us something truly special to remember our big day!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
