We are getting married March 9, 2011 and I don't know if we should bring someone down with us or trust the hotel photgrapher...I need HELP please!!!

It's unofficial as yet, but I *think* we're getting married at the Iberostar Varadero. We don't have our booking yet, but our travel agent has talked to the wedding coordinator and found out that there's a day available for our ceremony. But it's not until March 25,2011, so it's a little later than yours.

I am interested, though, if there are any other Iberostar Varadero brides out there?? There certainly doesn't seem to be...

Never been to Cuba. We narrowed it down to Cuba as it was one of the least expensive places to go from here. We were deciding between Iberostar Laguna Azul, Iberostar Varadero and Paradisus Varadero. We keep flipping back and forth between them, nothing as yet. But we'll see. All three of them look like beautiful resorts.

I totally agree it is such a hard decision as they are all wonderful resorts! We also had the Paradisus Varadero as one of our options but to travel from where we are it was about $500 extra per person not including taxes so that made our decision easy I guess...although it is a GORGEOUS looking resort! Well, good luck! If you have any questions about the Iberostar Varadero I can try to answer them as we are booked and have had a lot of contact with the wedding coordinator there already!

Paradisus Varadero is adults only resort. After photographing weddings on almost every resort I can say:

Iberostar Varadero is number one - they have the best organization, nicest beach, great food. However if the budget is taken in consideration you can also check Sirenis la Salina. Here is group with reviews:

I emailed her yesterday afternoon, but haven't heard back just yet. It's good to know that she's good at getting back quickly. I've seen on here that some wedding coordinators are so busy that they take awhile to reply.

I'm so excited. My brain is overloaded now with all the stuff I can finally get to!

It's very funny that we're both going around the same time! Same month anyway. :o)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
