We are getting married at sea on the Ruby Princess next April and would love to hear what other Princess brides are planning for their cruise wedding. I am in the process now of making our STD cards and plan on doing the message in a bottle invites. I have no idea what to do for favours. We will be travelling to Fort Lauderdale from Canada so we will need to pack everything in our luggage. So far we have about 30 people who have booked but the numbers keep growing!!! I love the idea of OOT bags but am concerned we don't have the space to pack everything. I also thought about ordering a gift for each cabin directly from Princess like a bottle of wine or shipboard credit that would be waiting for the guests when they get on board. Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Hey! I am also a Princess Ruby Bride to be :)

Our cruise is from Feb 24th 2013 - March 3rd 2013. We are very excited - I have sent out my Invitation (I call them my invitations - but they are more or less information booklets seeing as everyone is invited on our cruise I didnt bother making formal invites - I just typed out information I thought my guest would enjoy, dining, ports of call, and entertainment, then printed it on off white "fancy" paper, had a stamp custom made with out names and the date with an anchor; and had it embossed into the papers).
Thats as far as I have really gotten yet. Because the cruise is so far away, I am really just loading up on ideas.

I am also traveling from Canada; we have a travel agent that is doing all the booking for us; and Patrice is our wedding planner who I have been keeping in touch with over e-mail.

Any tips you can pass along from your experience so far would be wonderful :)

Happy Travels

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
