Suggestions for photographer in Riviera maya?

Recommended Posts

I cannot remember what post it was. The person had not worked with them, but they were giving a list of photographers they had been in contact with.

I found out that my resort will allow outside photographers so I think I am going to go with them. Hopefully we will hear from someone who has used them!! :)

Del Sol and Elizabeth Medina are also AMAZING, but are quite pricey. Not that Claudia Rodriguez is cheap, but I think her rates are a little more reasonable in comparison to the other two I mentioned.

Other posters also had some great suggestions, and if you do a search there is a ton of similar information already on the forum - you just gotta look! Good luck :)

I'm working with Samuel Luna and he has been a pleasure to work with so far. He even met us when we were down in the Riv Maya area for another wedding just to meet and get to know each other - very nice.

He pricing isn't as much as Elizabeth Medino or Del Sol and his quality and style are comparable.

Check him out:

I would do some research before making a decision. After all, these are your wedding photos and they will be capturing one of the most important days of your life, if not THE most important!

I researched many photographers and decided on Claudia Rodriguez. She was excellent from the start, communicating well and reassuring me about the big day. She and her assistant were an absolute pleasure to work with, and the photos turned out amazing. She made good on her word to have the photos and CDs to me within 6 weeks of our wedding. I found her prices to be reasonable, yet she still had top-notch work. I would recommend Claudia in a heartbeat.

Best of luck and hope all turns out well!

We are using Artistique Photographie and they have been amazing so far. Correspondence has been quick, they've sent me peoples photos to look through that were taken at our resort and they are great! Another bride and i are sharing them In april , my wedding is the 15th and the other bride is somewhere around the 25th, so if anyone was in that time period, they are already there! Check out their blog, they have some great photos. Its also 2 photographers where as some places make you pay extra for that!

Good luck finding a photog and with all your other planning too!

Well I wasnt going to post to this but I just can't stop myself. I just have to post my photographer here too.

Matt & Sol....

If you want the best go with Del Sol. They really are Statically the best lol. Voted top 10 wedding photographers IN THE WORLD last year. They have a photo jourilism style that is simply unparllelled in the industry. They do underwater photography TTD's that have been in many many magizines. They are expensive, but hopefully you only get married once.

If you love the Del Sol style, but would prefer a more economical choice. Matt, Owner of Del Sol apparently started another company under the Del Sol umbrella called La Luna.

Their website is located HERE -> http://www.lalunaphotographers.com/

You should take a look; I believe some of the pictures posted on the website are of Best Destination Wedding Brides. I believe La Luna starts around $400/p.h.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
