They are two separate entities one deals with reservations ($1500) and the other is considered group amenities (25+ rooms booked).

For your guest:
3-4 nights they will earn $750
5+ nights they will earn $1500
The promotion will be credited to their room once they check in. Guest must check in on dates June 1st thru December 23, 2011 to be eligible.

Hope this helps!

Ok ladies...about the vacation dollars!!

If your guest stay 3-4 nights $750 credit, 5 or more $1500 credit. Once your guest check in, the credit will appear and they will briefly discribe the choices you have.

Your guest will have the option to upgrade their rooms (which most of mine did), use towards tours (which my guest loved!!), spa (a must!!) and/or they can use all of it for golf (only one person golfed and he loved it).

The room upgrade just comes with a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor depending on what they originally booked. The higher the floor the "better" the liquor and wine list. The room size did not change. All the rooms are pretty much the same.

Guest loved the fact that tours were free. One of the favorites was swimming w/dolphins. One park that I would recommend that is not included in package is the Xcaret or the Xplor. AWESOME!!! It's a whole day thing, but well worth it. The XPLOR is all-inclusive too.

Spa was awesome! Go an hour early and you get to do the hydro therapy which is a treat!

For the bride and groom, you can use the $$ for the above or you can apply the WHOLE amount to your package. You can't break up the dollars.

I think this covers it. We were guiney pigs for this promotion so it took longer for us to get answers to questions we had asked. I'm sure all the kinks will be worked out by the time your wedding arrives.

ktrant,

Thanks!  That was helpful for another palace bride who has been trying to figure all of this out.  I will be getting married at Cancun Palace Feb 3, 2011.

Since you've already been there, one thing I have heard complaints about is the difficulty scheduling tours with this promotion. Did you have a hard time scheduling for any of the tours that seem more popular?  Do you know if we can contact the resort before we even get there to set/schedule a tour reservation?

I actually don't have a big group, but I know a few young girls in my group that will cry a river if they don't get to swim with the dolphins and go on the zipline.

I just emailed my guests about this. This is the best promo ever. I was going to go to the spa with my bridal party, as well as swim with the dolphins, golf and do tours before I heard about it. Its like getting everything I wanted to do for free! AWSOME!

We got married at Aventura Spa Palace on June 26th and took advantage of the vacation dollars promotion.  We were there for 10 days so it wasnt too bad on booking tours or salon appts but you will want to make sure to book once you get to the resort if you really want to do something (dont wait last minute).

If you are getting your hair and nails done at the resort for your wedding, you can let your onsite coordinator know and she will get you in touch with someone from the salon to help you book your appt before you arrive.

Also note that you CANNOT use the vacation dollars to book appts for other people.  The vacation dollars only go to the person booking the reservation.  I was planning to use some of my vacation dollars to get all of my bridesmaids hair done for the wedding but had to pay out of pocket (which I was planning to do anyway before I heard about the promotion). Thought I would let everyone know...

Also there is a limit to spa services ($150 for minimum of 3 nights or $300 if staying 5 nights or more).

Thats great to know. I thought maybe you could give your dollars to others if you didnt use them all.

Also, was there anyway to get more dollars for staying so long? We are staying for 14 days. I was debating if they would let us book the rooms in two different blocks to get the second 1,500

That would be great. Please let me know. We arnt using a TA so whenever I have a question I have to bug the people at Palace Resorts. I like to limit that to only a few times a week hehehe =)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
