Since our wedding is a little more than a year away, we decided to send out newsletters to our guests to keep them excited about making the trip to Mexico. Most of them will be making payments along the way and we thought it was a cool idea to show them where their moolah is going (sort of like the dangling carrot in front of the horse). Here it is, let me know what you think!!!

Very nice!

I just have to ask though... I read the part where you cleared up "a discrepancy" about the boarding pass save the dates, that they weren't really travel tickets - did you actually have people thinking that they were? I burst out laughing when I read this, thinking about folks calling to thank you for being so generous as to send them airline tickets! Those must have been some fantastic boarding pass STDs!!!

Haha. I was thinking the same thing when I was reading it. That's pretty hilarious.
I think you did a great job with the newsletter, it's very informative. Great job!

Great newsletter do you have a template? I would love to do something like that for my guests :) I also found it hilarious that you had to include the bit about the boarding passes lol! I was just thinking to myself oh goodness I bet I'll have some of those on my list that need clarification! I did boarding pass STD's also lol!

Can you believe it? I actually DID have some guests thinking that it was a ticket AND it gets better...The STDs are three pages. The first page has the general wedding info. The second page gives the info on Travel Arrangements (TA's contact, passport info,...). The third page is the Contact Us info with the wedding website, email addresses, and mailing address. One of our college-educated family members said to us that they were "missing a page" since we only sent three and there are four family members in their household. Now how ridiculous is THAT?!?!

I have the word document that I can email anyone who wants to use it as a template and just change the text. I think that if you open it and save it to your computer, you can adjust it - unless it is showing up as "read only." If not, just PM me your email address and I will send it to you.

Hi,

I love this newsletter!!! I need to send mine out ASAP!! I downloaded this one but have not been able to edit it. I also sent you a PM with my e-mail address. I would really appreicate it if you could send me the template. In the meantime, if anyone knows how I can edit this on my computer I would be very grateful. Thanks!!

I have to agree with Angela, very nice newsletters but it is very funny that people thought they were actual plane tickets. Please share them with us so we can see them, they must have been impressive!

People are strange...we had Passport invites with Boarding Pass RSVP's and folks thought that these were individual passes made just for them!!! Mind you...my invites were fuchsia/silver and blue!!! LOL

In any event...I got desperate...found a template and actually put together a newsletter today through the grace of God!! Now I'm scrambling to get the envelopes addressed and sent out...I can't believe I waited this long. It's basic...but nice....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
