    hey there ladies....

I have a age gap with my BMs?

    My MOH is 26

    My BM is 14

Should they still wear the same dresses or different ones just in same/similar colors?

My BM is my little sister and for her age she's very maturely shaped, quite curvy and similar shape to MOH? so she wouldn't look odd in dress made to fit a woman's shape?

Just thought I would ask for some input here?

      Hi JodieP,
I think more and more brides are choosing different dresses for their BM's. I for one am :). I think having different dresses are wonderful and very age appropriate :) and will make each girl feel beautiful. I have 4 BM's and they all have different dresses and are actually in 4 shades of Blue. I used Davids Bridal's wedding attire application to get a idea of how it will look, it was very useful even though none of their dresses came from there. It just gave me a idea of the shades and lengths of what it would look like to have them in different dresses. Now a days there really is no wrong or right way to plan a wedding :), you dont have to have cookie cutter BM's if you dont want to :). All the Best!

I'd def do different dresses but in the same color. I even saw this cute wedding photo wear the couples colors were blue and brown. The MOH had a brown dress with a blue sash and the BM's have a blue dress with a brown sash. It was a cute way to incorporate both wedding colors. Just a thought.
Good luck and let us know what you decide.

I have similar issues... My bridesmaids/MOH range in age from 14 to 35 (14, 20, 21, 30, 33, 35)! I am picking out colors and letting them get dresses they (or their mom) feel is appropriate/nice. But personally, I've never been into the completely matching thing - esp for older bridesmaids.

My daughter is my maid of Honor - she's 16 and my best friend is my Matron of Honor -she's 36. All of my bridesmaids are in the early 30s range. I had the same concern so I picked a style that I think looks appropriate for everybody. They are all wearing knee-length one shoulder dresses, but my daughter and best friend are each wearing diff versions of the one-shoulder. The all look absolutely GREAT and the chiffon is the perfect material for the setting!

I would go with the same color with the dress of their choice. Not everyone looks good in the same dress even if they are the same age..

I have 1 MOH and 3 BMs who range in height from 5'0" to 5'9" and in size from 2-8. All different figures and tastes. I used David's Bridal to pick a color and each of them went and picked a dress that fit their style and body in that color. It worked out really well and nobody had to sacrifice their style or comfort for anyone else. I think that's the best compromise you could possibly work out.

Hmmm, that's a tough one, I will have mine all in the same dress, but i think different dresses in the same color would def work also.
