Hi all,

My name is Jen. I am originally from Northern Ireland but I have been living in Puerto Vallarta for the past 5 years. I met my fiance here, he is from Texas.

We want to get married in Mexico as this is our home, BUT none of my family have been abroad before. Most have them have already said they wouldn't come if we do it in Mexico (thats OK by me! I wanted a small wedding anyway!!) We would like to do it either at La Casa Que Canta in Zihuatanejo or Las Ventanas in Cabo... but I can't make up my mind!!!

I had originally planned for it to be in May 2008, but we have a ton of things on our plates right now... so I am thinking maybe I should postpone for a year??

HELP!!smile41.gif

Thanks girls!

I was all set to have the wedding on May 15th 2008, but my girlfriend decided to have her wedding on the same date.. I don't want to make my friends choose between our weddings!! That date really worked for us because of the price change into low season and the temperature here in Mexico will still be comfortable for my oh-so-white Irish family!!!

Well.... I could of course... but the prices are 10-15% before this date... and the temperature goes up a LOT after the date!!! I also don't want to take the emphasis away from my friends wedding day. Maybe I am being too pickyhuh.gif By the way Shelley, your wedding website is great!!

Y'know its a weird situation! I picked the date first... She had decided on MArch for her wedding.. We hadn't discussed it until I called to ask her and she told me they wanted to change to the 15th May (which is when I told her I had already chosen the date!)..but she made out her invites and gave them out before I made mine!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
