Ok so I have alot more DIY's to do but I got started on this one tonight. I am doing paint brushes for the reception site. They will be placed in a silver pail near the board walk with a sign that says "To brush the sand from your feet". I decided to do them in antique crackle. (I'm going for the sort of antique, romantic feel) I thought on the beach it will look rustic and nice. This is my first time doing a DIY and this is my first brush, I just wanted to get a feel for it. Each is going to be strung with ribbon in our colors and adorned but here is the experimental brush. I'll also be doing the sign myself in the antique crackle finish. What do you ladies think?

Very nice!!!!! Where did you find the antique crackle stuff? Is it paint? I found some signs on Etsy that have it that I love, and I was thinking I could probably save myself some money and do it myself if I could find the write materials.

Thanks ladies!! I will be adding tags to them once they are finished with tags that say "thank you" on one side and not sure maybe a cute saying on the other. Not sure what the tags will say yet but def going to attach tags. I got the brushes at Michael's for 89c each and I bought the crackle spray paint (you have to buy the base coat and top coat) each can was $6.49. I saw the signs on etsy as well but last night I said you know what I bet I can do that. So I marched to Michael's today and I had a 40% off one regular priced item coupon and I put it to good use. I am just happy I was brave enough to try. Angela it is so easy I say give it a shot!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
