Men's Tungsten Carbide Wedding Band

Recommended Posts

My fiance decided on this ring about 7 months before the wedding. Now there's less than two months to go, and he found another that he likes better. I really love this ring, but he doesn't, so we must say goodbye to it.

It's made by Triton, tungsten carbide. Virtually indestructible and never scratches. Finger size 8, and it's 8mm wide. We bought it for $265 at a local jeweler's, and would like to sell it for $150 OBO.

We still have the original receipt and box it came in. It's only been tried on a couple of times. I wish he didn't change his mind because I really love this ring. Hopefully it will make someone else happy! PM me if interested!

Cait - Keep in mind that Tungsten can't be cut...so if your FI is always working with his hands and injury prone...I wouldn't suggest the Tungsten material for his ring.

My jeweler said..it's the ring or your finger...so opted for white gold =) But the look of the Tungsten rings are great...just indestructable. Just an FYI =)

Finley-we both loved how the tungsten looked, and liked that it can't be scratched, but in the end, my fiance decided it was too heavy and thick for his hand. He upgraded to platinum, lucky guy :) The new ring is actually very similar in appearance to this one.

Emergency services CAN actually remove the ring. It's a common misconception that you'll lose your finger God forbid anythign ever happen. All hospitals and ems vehicles are equipped with a tool that will actually shatter the ring. That's where the saying "the ring or your finger" comes from. Hopefully, you'll chose your finger and buy a new ring!

Just an FYI for those of you buying a Tungsten. I personally think they are great and great looking wink.gif too bad we already bought my FIs or I'd snap this one up!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
