Restaurant reccomendation?

Recommended Posts

We would like to go out for a dinner while we're at Dreams PV in Sept. I wasn't sure where to go or if anyone had any had a favorite place they might reccomend. I've heard tons of great things about Daquiri Dick's....but from everything I've read it seems to be closed the entire month of September! So we're out of luck there I guess!

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Yes!! Barcelona Tapas. I should be getting paid for all the PR I do for them, lol, but honestly they have killer food and spectacular views. Best food I've had in PV yet. Go just before dusk so you catch the sunset. Once it's dark you see the fireworks shows too, it's breathtaking up there. Make sure to have a few tequila creams for me :o)

Get out! It will be quite memorable, to this day my guests talk about the WD as much as the wedding.

Have you been in touch with Bill? My brother designed a contract for him to use for future welcome dinners...wonder if he's using it? lol

How many people did you have at your welcome dinner? I've been trying to research restaurants in PV for our welcome dinner too. I've been looking into Spiaggia - do you know anything about them? How was your dinner at Barcelona tapas set up? Do you mind sharing how much it cost per person? The atmosphere I'm looking for is casual and fun - we really want our guest to meet and mingle so we were thinking instead of a full sit down dinner - just cocktails and heavy appetizers or buffet type dinner.

So here's the thing...I tracked down the Barcelona Tapas website and it says that they are closed for vacation the month of September. sad.gif

I know we're going in the off season...but damn. That's a bummer. And poor Monica is so disappointed and now worrying like crazy that things are going to be closed etc. the entire time we're there. I'm sure there's somewhere yummy we can go....

...back to the drawing-board!

Are these all restaurants at Dreams PV, or just regular old restaurants open to the public? I was thinking about doing a welcome dinner thing, but we're not staying at Dreams. We're most likely staying at the Fiesta Americana, so I hope at least some of these restaurants are nearby! :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
