Can't make up my mind!

Recommended Posts

So...I went dress shopping for the first time over the weekend, and omg, was that fun!

First stop was to a small bridal boutique and had such a great experience there. Owners were super friendly, attentive, and patient with my guests and I. I found three fun dresses there- all so different, yet totally my personality.

Second and last stop was to a "reknowned" bridal store and my experience was the exact opposite. I found one great dress that I would have considered; however, they were so pushy and annoying there, I left without a second thought! MY DRESS is at the small boutique, and I plan on going back this week to make my final decision.

Here are some pictures from my weekend...

First up, this is the Maggie I tried on at my second stop of the day. Super cute dress, but I knew it wasn't the one. And the pushiness of the sale just made me not want the dress even more, unfortunately.

This next one is a super fun dress from the little boutique. It's so different and spunky and was a lot of fun to wear. I never would have picked a dress with such a tight bodice, but the owner pulled it, and what do you know...I liked it! The belt totally makes the dress.

This dress is the beach dress that my mom envisions me in. It's so light and drapey, and feels great on too. The buttons all the way down the back are my favorite part.

The final dress is the one that caught my eye in a magazine a long time ago. I love everything about this dress, and if I were to have a traditional wedding back home, this would be the one. I'm just a bit apprehensive having this gown for a dw. This is the dress I would actually feel bad rolling around in the sand and water in. Lol.

Just wanted to share what I found on my shopping excursion smile123.gif

I'm debating HARD between the last two dresses!

You look great in all the dresses!

If you think that the last dress would be the one, except you don’t want to do the TTD session in it (I’m assuming that is what you meant when you said role around in the sand), you could just get a cheaper dress that is similar and that you won’t mind ruining. David’s Bridal has $99 dress sales, you could get one then. That way you can wear the dress you want on you wedding day and not have to worry about ruining it.

PS – My favorite dress on you is the last one! You really do look great in it!

I have to say, I think I recognize all of these dresses that's how much I have been dress shopping lately!!! (And I can't make up my mind either!) I have tried on Dress #2 myself, which also was pulled by the owners for me at 2 different stores to try on! It is very cute and fun to wear (great addition of the belt as well - I never tried that!).

Not sure if you are looking for opinions but I have to say I just love the third dress on you, though I can totally see why you are torn between the last two. And actually they all look stunning on you!!!

Thanks for sharing your pictures and good luck with your decision :)

I did this a few weeks ago, but just for the heck of it. I already have my dress and was looking for a TTD. I am torn because I know you don't like the first one but I think it looks good on you and so does the last one. The top of the last one is pretty.

Honestly, I just feel bad hurting the dress bc it's so pretty. I will NEVER wear it again as is, so I would consider shortening the dress or turning it into a play dress for my daughter one day. WTH, right?

My mom thinks I should take a foot off the bottom for each anniversary year, and end up with a cute little mini. We'll see, lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
