Calling all bride who have used a local Mexican Photographer!

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies, I am looking for a photographer and I am really interested in Del Sol. However, I was wondering how the communication works due to the distance. When do you recieve the photos? Do they offer hard paged custom wedding albums?

Thanks!

Im using Adrian Herrera and all communication was through email. He was very quick with his responses. Im not sure how the albums will work, however. Im sure if you contact the photographer you are interested in, they can give you all the details. Good Luck!

We used Sascha Gluck (Destination Wedding Photographer for Cancun and Riviera Maya and the rest of the World), we just got married on April 30 (TTD on May 1 in Puerto Morelos). He and his assistant Lars were a lot of fun to work with, they are very professional, very creative and VERY cost effective. He communicated with my Mom completely through email and everything was perfect. He promised our photos 6 weeks after the wedding, with some posted to his blog ahead of time. Highly recommend him!!!

We used Claudia Rodriguez and were very happy with her, and with our photos. I also found her prices to be reasonable. She told us it would take 4-6 weeks after the wedding to receive our pictures via FedEx, and she was right on. I can't remember if she does photobooks, but you can send her an email from her website and ask. Her website is Claudia Rodriguez wedding photography.

Del Sol's pics are amazing!!! They were completely out of our budget though.

It seems that it is better for your wallet to use a local photographer since you don't have to pay their travel. I haven't found any photographers in the US that include travel in their packages.

Has anyone heard of FineArt Studio in Playa del Carmen? We just reached out to them but haven't seen any reviews. They shoot in Italy and Mexico and they don't charge travel. Also - their prices are very affordable.

Im also looking for a decent video and photography package deal. I love Sol and Elizabeth Medinas work but the are way out of what we can afford. =0( I wish I could win the lottery so that we could hire them in a heart beat!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
