Date Confirmed- April 16, 2011 PPR -Help!

Recommended Posts

We got confirmed yesterday we our date; we are sooooo excited!:pinkie

Question for the lovely PPR brides, what wedding package did you choose and why? We are thinking of going a la carte but by looking at the hotel calculation, going this way may be too expensive... Oh boy, I'm not sure what to do.

Hi! I had the same problem when I first chose my site. I ended up changing to Grand Palladium because they include dinner in the package, no per head fees. My suggestion is to see how many you have going to the wedding...I did a preliminary count of definites (like family) and did my calculations, etc.

You have some time. I know it feels like you got to figure it all out now, but take your time and really research all your options. This site is a god send in helping you make choices! Good luck!

Thank you for your advice, SAP; we are going just to stick with PPR, we decided to take the Aqua Package do some upgrade as the wedding approach at call it a day! I donâ€t want to get stress so early in the game 

Planning a destination wedding should be fun and easy…right?

Glad you made your decision...I've been planning my wedding at the PPR for around 9 months now and have changed my package several times. As the wedding is nearing our final head count is much lower than we initially anticipated and my expectations have changed. We're now going with the Wish package. It's really easy to get crazy and stressed out!! Good luck!

Hi ladies,

We did the aqua package as well, and adding as needed from the a la carte. Once we did the calculations, It was way more to do everything a la carte. Dania you made the right decision PPR is fabulous!!!!!

Hey there!

We just confirmed for the PPR in May 2011... What we did is go with the Aqua Package and as Flores says... just add everything else a la carte... It was the cheapest way when I was adding everything up!

Hope this helps!

I'm doing good just waiting to hear back from Noelia with my finalized ceremony, reception, food, decor, etc. A bit nervous about the final bill but very excited to leave soon and get married! I promise I'll take lots of pics and post a review as soon as I can since there's not too many of us PPR brides.

Yay, they finally confirmed my date!! Actually, the WC just confirmed she received the payment so I wrote her back so she can put in writing that my DATE is confirmed. Lol. Anyway....

I took a quick look at the packages and think we will go with either the Aqua or Chill Out as the others do not include a reception dinner, which for me is sort of the main "event" aside from the brief ceremony. Not sure which I'd rather go with, though....

Did you ladies compare the Aqua and Chill Out? Difference is just $300 (although $10 more per extra guest) but I'm not sure if it's worth it or not?.....

I also find that calculator very confusing. It's so vague!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
